Step1 Show the learning objectives Know about the learning objectives of this lesson. Step2 Revision Look at pictures of John’s family and talk about what the family members doing at 7 in the evening. Step3 Pre-listening 1.Learn the new words and sentence structure of the general questions and answers of the present progressive tense by looking at some pictures. 3.Look at the pictures in 1a. Then ask and answer questions. Step4 While-listening 1.Finish 1c. Listen and complete the chart. 2. Listen again and fill in the blanks. Step5 Post-listening 1.Make conversations with me according to 1c. 2.Practice the conversation according to 1c by yourself. 3. Look at some pictures and guess what different students are doing at the break time. Step6 Exercises 1.Finish the sentences. 2.Translate the sentences. Step7 Summary Summarize the key points of this lesson. Step8 Homework Write a report about what the students and the teachers doing at the break time according to the information in the pictures.
